It’s not speaking clearer or louder that will get you heard. It’s the listening. If you practice active listening in your communications with other, you’ll learn more. When you learn more, you have will have the information you need to improve your communication with your colleagues, friends and family.
Jon Ryan’s article, “How to be a Chief Listening Officer” provides some practical advice on how to improve you listening skills. It’s definitely worth the read.
